Otitis is the inflammation and/or infection of the ear, and it is a very frustrating disease for animals and pet-owners. Otitis is further characterized by the extent of disease present, and is generally categorized as pinnal dermatitis, otitis externa, otitis media, and otitis interna. All types of otitis are secondary to primary disease processes and determining the etiology of otitis is important for successful case outcomes. This webinar will focus on the most common type of otitis, otitis externa. Otic anatomy, primary causes of otitis externa, and developing a streamlined diagnostic and treatment approach will be discussed using a case-based approach.
